Privacy notice.
What we do with the details you send us, in plain English.
Who we are
Vale Coast Carpentry is a trading name of Climbing Collective Ltd (company number 12458972). We decide how your personal information is used, so we are the “controller” under UK data protection law. Contact us at ben@valecoastcarpentry.co.uk or on 07821 419541.
What we collect
When you use the enquiry form: your name, phone number, postcode, a description of what you want, and your email address if you choose to give one. If you phone or email us, we keep what you tell us. We do not ask for anything we do not need to price the work.
Why we use it, and our legal basis
We use it to reply to your enquiry, give you a quote and, if you go ahead, carry out the work. That is taking steps at your request before a contract, and our legitimate interest in running the business. We do not sell your details or use them for marketing you have not asked for.
Who else sees it
Only the services that make the site work:
- Cloudflare hosts the website and runs Turnstile, the check that stops automated spam on the form. Turnstile looks at information from your browser to tell people from bots.
- Resend delivers the enquiry to us by email. It is based in the United States, so your details may be processed outside the UK under the safeguards required by law.
- Our email provider stores the email once it arrives.
Cookies and tracking
We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies. Fonts are served from this website, not from a third party.
How long we keep it
For as long as we need it to deal with your enquiry or job, and for a reasonable time afterwards for our records, the guarantee on our work and our legal and tax obligations. After that we delete it.
Your rights
You can ask to see the information we hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted, and you can object to how we use it. Email us and we will deal with it. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
